Why Independent Play is Important
Play is important for children because it is how they learn. Their little brains are soaking up everything that is happening around them. When they are allowed to play, they can figure out how something works and problem solving.
Setting up independent play is essential for children to learn things at their pace and without somebody doing things for them. If you want to get down and be with your child while they play, I think that is great, but be sure to not intervene unless asked.

Honestly playing exhausts me but it makes me so so happy to watch my daughter playing and figuring things out. I love to watch her learn.
